Courses are searchable by distance from where you are, across more than 15,000 in the United States and Korea, so finding somewhere to play works the same way the rest of the app does.

Your rounds stay on your device. There is no account to create and your golf data is never uploaded — the app installs to your home screen and keeps working when the course has no signal.
